The 2026 beauty calendar: Ramadan, Christmas, New Year and everything between

Every region has its own beauty calendar — moments when prep matters, when restraint matters, when you want the most flattering version of yourself in a photograph. Here is a region-by-region 2026 planning guide.

Plan three months ahead, execute one month before. For the Gulf in 2026: Ramadan starts around February 17 and runs to March 18 — the prep window is January (gentle exfoliation, hydration boost, sleep schedule reset). Eid al-Fitr falls March 19–21, the photo week.

Hajj season July 7–12 demands a minimalist scalp-protection routine for those traveling. Eid al-Adha around June 16. For Germany and EU: the calendar runs Christmas (December 24–26, prep starts October with vitamin C brightening), New Year's Eve glam (December 31), Carnival in February for those celebrating, and Easter (April 5 in 2026).

Wedding season May–September. For Russia: Old New Year January 14 brings a second photo moment after January 1; Maslenitsa (mid-February) is the pre-Lent banya week — heat and skincare combo perfect. Russian Orthodox Easter April 19, summer dacha season June–August (sun protection focus), and the long-anticipated New Year culminating December 31.

Universal rule: every photo-week needs a six-week prep — that gives a Vitamin C serum and a peel cycle enough time to act. Last-minute booking of fillers or peels three days before an event is what creates the disasters you see on Reels.
